With the stunning Enchanted Forest running from 29 September – 30 October 2016 it’s timely to round up child friendly places to stay and play when visiting Perthshire with tots.  The music and light displays at Enchanted Forest should delight every child so it’s worth considering making a weekend of it.

Prehistoric Crannog Child

Scottish Crannog Centre – go back in time and dress your kid up as a prehistoric tot.  Learn wood turning, stone drilling and fire-starting.

20160616_102310Highland Safari Red Deer and Barn Owl Experience – hand feed the iconic stag and see a barn owl in silent flight.

Visit the Beatrix Potter Centre and hunt down the Birnam Oak – find the ancient tree that helped inspire Shakespeare’s Macbeth and find out more about Beatrix Potter’s life in Scotland.

Walk from Dunkeld, to its cathedral, then along the river under the towering trees.  It’s not called Big Tree Country for nothing.  Follow our walk here.
